Limera1n Download

Limera1n (also spelled Limerain) is a jailbreak utility by geohot, which is used to jailbreak recent Apple devices like the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G and Apple TV 2G. It uses an undisclosed bootrom exploit to achieve untethered jailbreak. The hacker behind Limera1n, geohot, is also known for hacking the PlayStation 3, and has worked for Facebook between mid 2011 and early 2012.

If you do not wish to read this short introduction of Limera1n (or Limerain), you can just skip it and go straight to the Limera1n Download link located at the bottom of this post. The installation is fairly simple, even for total beginners but always remember that you proceed as your own risks.

Limera1n is considered an easy-to-use iPhone, iPod and iPad jailbreak tool, and works on firmware 4.0, 4.0.2 and 4.1. All you need to do to jailbreak your device with this tool is to download it, plug your device and launch the application. Then click the ‘make it ra1n’ button… it will put your device in DFU mode and reboot it.

Once your device is jailbroken, you will see a message confirming that the jailbreak has been successful (something in the lines of: “geohot says: Enjoy your jailbroken iPhone”…) If you’re still not sure how it works, you can find plenty of Limera1n tutorials, including video tutorials, on the Web.

Limera1n is currently available for Windows and Max OS X. You can download the latest version of this utility via the Limera1n Download link located below.
