Sony PlayStation 4 Features, Design, Games And Release Date

by Joel Fernandes 194 views306

Sony is certainly in competition with Microsoft to bring up its next generation gaming console to the market. When the PlayStation 3 was released five years ago, it was sold out in almost every store, and as of June 31, 2011 there were more than 51 million units sold.

The competition gets tougher and intense in the video game market, and Sony is preparing itself for the release of PlayStation 4 or PS4. In fact, while the PlayStation 4 is currently getting its treatment, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 6 are in the early stages of planning and conceptualization at Sony’s R&D labs.

The world eagerly waits for the next generation PlayStation 4 sported with hi-tech gaming features and latest technologies. Gamers are not just expecting the PS4 to have a combination of motion and dual-shock controllers, but also 3D gaming experience. There’s no reason why one should not expect what the next version of PS4 will contain, since technology has advanced widely and effectively.

PS4: PlayStation 4 Features and Specifications

The Sony PlayStation 4 is said to be made of eco-friendly materials. The gaming console is expected to be made up to 60% of recyclable materials. Apart from that, it will also have a “Eco Start” feature, which will allow gamers to save and resume games, without having to switch off the console.

Additionally, it is choreographed to switch off every 30 minutes of no activity. The interesting part is that during this time, the console will self-charge automatically from a rechargeable cell. This not only saves energy, but also maintains and extends the life of the console.

Although the device is blended with eco-friendly features, it certainly needs those specifications which are essentially required for any hardcore gamers. The PlayStation 4 is expected to sport a 1.5 TB hard disk drive, which allows users to store a large number of games. It will have USB 3.0 ports along with an HDMI connect port.

The Sony PlayStation 4 will have full 3D support with 4K2K compatibility, and supports 3D Blu-Ray. It is enabled to synchronize with Sony Ericson, and also synchronize with the Sony Bravia. The Sony Entertainment Network (SEN), formerly called Qriocity, will also be included in the console.

In terms of CPU, the current PS 3 uses a cell based processor with 1 PPE (Power Processing Element) at 3.2 GHz. We are expecting the PS4 to have 32nm 8 Core Cell processor with 16 SPEs, along with a 22nm Kepler. We are also expecting the console to have a boatload of RAM, with at least minimum of 2GB RAM.

Sony PlayStation 4 Design

Although the gaming console is yet to be announced, fans have already posted concept images of the PlayStation 4, which certainly looks incredible. It’s obvious that users mostly look for technical specifications, but there are certain number of people who also rely on looks and design. There are many concepts available, and one such concept by Joseph Dumary, shows the evolution from PS2, to PS3:

It is also expected that the Sony is planning to include the “body movement-based control like Kinect”, a motion sensing input device developed by Microsoft for the Xbox 360.

PlayStation 4 Games

It is confirmed that PlayStation 4 games are currently under development, and Sony is set to launch the games somewhere around the same time as the PlayStation 4 release. The games are also expected to be available in the PlayStation online store, where you will be able to buy and download games instantly.PlayStation 4 Head-mounted Display

Sony is also developing high-quality games, new technology, and integration with 3D and dedicated gaming. Mick Hocking, Senior Director at Sony Worldwide Studios revealed a head-mounted display (picture wraparound glasses), which reveals incredibly clear, high-end 3D graphics.

Phil Harrison, former head of Sony Worldwide Studios, shared a few thoughts on the next generation gaming console, and mainly stressed on the concept of “game streaming”. The basic idea about streaming games is to play them online, where users will have to purchase rights to stream games, just like how you stream videos on Netflix.

“The technology to stream high-quality games directly to your living room or computer or TV is not some kind of science-fiction fantasy – it works, and it’ll only get better over time. I think that’s clearly going to be a future for our industry.”

PlayStation 4 Release Date

There are several speculations around the Internet about the release date of the Sony PlayStation 4. Sources indicate that Sony is planning to announce the gaming console sometime in 2012. According to a report by a tech news blog DigiTimes, indicates that Foxconn and Pegatron Technology will assemble the PS4 for Sony starting at the end of this year for a 2012 launch. These were the companies which assembled the PS3.

It’s unknown whether the Sony PlayStation could be given a different name, but at this point we can just assume that it’s going to be PS4 or PlayStation 4, since Sony has named its previous PS consoles in a similar fashion. The PlayStation 4 is expected to be one of the best gaming consoles ever, and certain after looking at the concept designs and specifications, there’s no doubt about that.

  1. Sony is the first interested in spreading rumours, to make the launch of any new product (PS4 or whatever) a major and much expected event. Goal? sales sales sales and sale more than the competition.

  2. Sony is the first interested in spreading rumours, to make the launch of any new product (PS4 or whatever) a major and much expected event. Goal? sales sales sales and sale more than the competition.

  3. Will you need to have an internet connection and a 3D Tv to purchase the new PS4?

    1. Internet – wouldn’t surprise me if this will be necessary next gen
3D TV – most likely optional, as HD was this gen

  4. zomg…talk all you want about technology but what about the funding! sony lost millions of dollars in the first half of 2011 because of the great starvation (thank god we survived it), the hackers cost sony unaccountable loss of profits in the gaming section and then of course this half of the year is an extreme fail due to the lack of sales from vista, so dream on about ps4…nm 5 and 6

  5. Sony has always Dominated Microsoft. I honestly think that once the Playstation 4 is released, Microsoft will be out of the picture with their gaming consoles. They stole the Idea of the Kinect from Sony’s eye toy. The only way for them to even make a new Xbox would be to steal Sony’s ideas once again. Microsoft is pathetic.

    1. You must be kidding. Another example of the misinformed. Why don’t you go research how the Kinect came to be before spewing out fallacy. I’ll give you a hint. Israel is involved. Thanks for visiting.

    2. As a senior researcher in computer engineering, I can tell you that the Kinect is far more revolutionary than Sony’s eye toy. The RGB-D camera tech that Microsoft licensed and cost reduced (from $10,000 to $150) has been causing massive shock waves through the robotics industry (among others).

Of course you’re entitled to your anti-Microsoft opinions. I personally dislike Sony for their treatment of George Hotz.

      1. Hotz got what he deserved. in fact, he should’ve been nailed to a wall and shot in the face. his actions were in direct violation of the EULA for for the ps3, and Sony carried out retribution accordingly. How can you dislike a company for doing what they said they would do if you messed with their stuff? Hotz was also the reason for the network crash, and millions of un-happy gamers. If he would have respected the EULA and went to hack something else instead, sony would’nt have cut off his balls.. so to speak. I hate the little bastard for what he did, and the effect it had on us gamers. It’s bad enough we lost our “other OS” due to hacking the system, but then we get our netwrok cut off for 3 1/2 weeks, and me personally.. well my ps3 60gb model is now permanently screwed due to the network going offline while i had a game saving. Hackers are peices of crap. i respected them at one point back in the day.. the days when i thought they were fighting for our freedoms in the digital universe.. but i know today thats bull. Hackers are nothing more than losers with no life who have to try and feel powerful by breaking into something for control of it. has a hacker made anyone else’s life better? no. all they do is cause trouble, and therefore the community gets screwed. software and games are a good example. companies charge us out the wazoo for their products, just so they can make SOME profit. why is this you ask? because of all the dumb hackers out there STEALING the software, HACKING anything they can, and getting illegal copies of games. Kill ’em all and let God sort ’em out!
As for the Kinect being “more revolutionary” than the now outdated “eyetoy”.. that may be, but it’s a peripheral for a new system, with tech ideas stolen from an old system. there is really no comparison. the point of the above made statement stands true though. Micro$oft DID steal the idea from the pioneers, Sony. Hell i would’nt be surprised to see a blu-ray player in their next system.. yet another idea stolen from someone else. Micro$uck’s products have always sucked. Windows? thats a no-brainer. PC’s? hell a MAC is better than a PC in many ways too. and when it comes down to performance, graphics, controllers, peripherals, exclusives and everything else.. Micro$uck’s 360 is second hand to the powerhouse that is the PS3. Everyone tries to say that the x-box at least has better online service. ok?… how? why? cause 360 owners PAY for it? thats lame. I don’t se a PS4 coming for at least another few years, but when it DOES… all of you riding the nuts of Microsoft.. will be suckin the sweat off of ’em, cause the next playstation will once again.. be better than anything they make. They have the track record to show they are THE BEAST of the consoles, and microsoft just tries to stay afloat with crap games, crap systems that have to be replaced a half dozen times or more, and crap peripherals. The Kinect is a joke. Who REALLY wants to play dancing games? or running track in their living room? or jumping over moving logs? those games for the Kinect are terrible. At least the Move has good games, and Big Title game support (MAG, Resistance 3, Killzone 3, Littlebigplanet 2, Socom 4, etc.) You’ll never see the Kinect support a Halo game or Gears of War.. which btw are m$’s ONLY exclusives worth even a little crap, and they still SUCK.

        1. Wah! Your facts are shit and your crying is annoying.

        2. Ive grown up with sony so i prefer sony than any other console, but the truth is microsoft do have some bad points but so has ps3 but the worst thing about microsoft consoles is that they do copy ideas. for one what does the xbox handcontroller loook like??…a dreamcast controller maybe, remember the first xbox when you were be able to put the memory cards in the hand controller, they robbed that idea from sega dreamcast once again. the kinect hahaha that is shit, it is stolen from eye toy as sony was the first company to make something that can detect that your their and be able to understand the movements you are doing, what did microsoft do, made a kinect that does the same job as an eyetoy. As i big computer company I thourght microsoft did a bit of a shit job of making a console, what is the point of having an avatar on xbox you cant do anything with it unlike ps3 you have a virtual world where you can play mini games meet new people its good to make new friends and interact with people you dont know. One problem with the ps3 avatars is that you have to pay for buy accessories, clothes ect. I got an idea but it is taking from xbox abit but its moving it a bit forward, with xbox you can get gamerpoints, why dont ps3 still have the trophies but have gamerpoints or something like that but have a different name, so when we do complishments on games we get points as well unlocking trophies but with those points we can buy games, clothes for avatars. This will get sony playstation fans to spend more money on games to get more points to buy more stuff.

If xbox copies anything else from any other game consoles, then they will be the biggest let down of all time in the gaming industry.

          PS3 all the way.

    3. Ignorance is not bliss…. dumb a**

  6. Sony will undoubtedly unveil the PlayStation 4 at E3 2012 (and I think Microsoft will also unveil the next generation Xbox console at E3 2012 as well). I believe the Wii U will already be out by then as Nintendo is shooting for a late Q1 2012 release for the Wii U. As with anything until then this is just speculation though (although I think everyone knows the Wii U will be out by end of Q2 2012). Until then, you will see many rumors popping up on release dates, specs and the concept of the design of the console itself, but we won’t know for sure until that time rolls around.

The reason I believe E3 will be when they unveil the PlayStation 4 and next-gen Xbox consoles is because E3 is by far the biggest expo of the year and it sets up for getting people hyped for the holiday season later in the year. Last holiday was pretty decent with the PS Move and Xbox Kinect, and this holiday is going to be kind of bland – I think next holiday will blow our minds away.

However it may end up, I will be a proud owner of all 3 next-gen consoles (unless something happens that I lose my job – and I pray to God that doesn’t happen). I’m just a gamer in general and limiting yourself to one console or the other is just silly.

    1. Thinking that everyone can afford all three consoles is just ignorant.

      1. Being too poor to afford all of the consoles, just sucks for you lmao!

        1. not everyone have the good life.. remember that.

        2. shut the fuck up!!!!!!!! some people just cant afford things like that!!!! fucking jackass

        3. Yeah, that would suck. That’s why you’re an asshole for rubbing it in. Do you have even a shred of sympathy in you, or are you always a self-centered prick?

        4. Do some work man!
Get paid and use that money to buy consoles! XD

    2. TGS (Tokyo Game Show) also has a shot at getting the announcement, I think.

Everyone CAN afford all three consoles, if they want them. If you can save for one, you can save for all. The idea that you can’t afford to have all three is ridiculous. You simply have to prioritize your spending.

      1. You obviously don’t have a clue about the economic situation for most people. There are places where people don’t make that much money in a year.

        1. He probably doesn’t make that much in a year. I bet mommy and daddy have him covered haha

    3. what the hell the ps4 sucks like your mum.the ps3 that i have i hacked it and gess what i can hack anyone who plays with me any game at any time so far i hacked 306 players on diffrent games fuck it is good!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. uncharted 6 on the ps4 !!!!!!!!!!

    1. what about uncharted 4 and 5

      1. He’s so excited he might have skipped two next gen consoles.

  8. Uh.. has anyone used the internet for the past 5 years? ALL of these fan made idea’s of a ps4.. except the first one.. were already put on the internet as a ps3 YEARS AGO. it’s not even NEW concept ideas.. all they did was change the 3 to a 4 and repost it. WHAAAACK! and lets get real here.. nobody was even CLOSE to what the ps3 ACTUALLY looks like, so no doubt they have missed by a long shot once more. ps4 will not be here in 2012. Sony already stated upon the release of the ps3, and many times since.. that they expect 10 years out of the ps3 before releasing another home console. so aim for 2016 or so.. not 2012, regardless of past release history. as for ANYTHING this guy said in the above article.. wheres his proof? go ahead and look up the ps4 yourself. there is nothing but rumors and speculation. no hard evidence, no proof. with that being said, i’m still looking forward to enjoying my ps3 for a few more years, and waiting to see it reach maximum potential. who cares what Micro$uck does? let them rush out another piece of crap like the 360. Sony is a BEAST.. and they need not worry about their so called “competition”. They’ll release a new system when they deem the time to be right, and i promise.. it’ll be EPIC, just like every system they’ve ever released.. (with the exception of the crap psp-go). as for them “streaming” games? screw THAT. i would NOT waste my hard earned money for streamed games. i want to OWN the game, not “rent” the game.. that idea sucks. I’m a Playstation fanboy, and proud of it.. but if Sony ever did something that stupid.. i would not be such a fanboy anymore.. hell i might even go dust off my Atari Jaguar. 🙂

    1. If you expect the Playstation 3 to last 5 more years.. you have a rude awakening..

      1. No it wont but the new one wont have any better things to it than the ps3 same graphics and game play just a new thing for people to blow 6 to 7 hundred on just to say they have it. Ps3 will be around alot oonger than the Ps2 was

    2. Making us rent the games we play would be a huge middle finger to their customers, but don’t think for a second Sony and Microsoft won’t break their backs to make it a reality. From their perspective, it’s a no brainer. They’d save millions from not having to physically produce and ship the games, and then they could make unlimited profits on the games they sell. They could take a game like Call of Duty or Madden and charge people $20 a month to play. If the person plays for about a year, they just sold it for $240 instead of $60. Gamers will yell, bitch, and protest, but with no other option I imagine most will just pay and be mad about it.

      1. Or they could just buy a PC.

    3. Looks like you’re a Sony fanboy alright…

      1. like typing much “like typing much”?

    4. i like what u said, but… no doubt ps3 will last longer than even 2016, hell ps2 is still being sold with its games in 2011 today, and thus ps4 will emerge even though there still is a ps3… so maybe ps4 will be announced in 2012 but released in 2013-14… and as far as the shape goes, i think it will be very very simple, as in a cable set top box (in maybe matte black/white) because sony likes to keep things simple… just my 2 cents…

    5. Your concept point is spot on but i disagree with what you said about the lifespan of the ps3. They WILL release in late 2012 or early to mid 2013 because they ALWAYS follow tradition. There controllers are mainly the same- hell even the name doesn’t even change besides the number at the end. You call yourself a playstation fan boy but i guarantee you didn’t own a ps2 or a ps1 when they came out- your a PS3 fan boy and not a PlayStation one- your like the band wagoners in football- annoying twelve year old’s with no idea what there actually saying besides”GO PS3 GO PS3 XBOX SUX YEA!!!!!1!!”.

  9. i dont understand one thing it sasy it will be 3D,can you play it on older tv

  10. hey how can we sinc this PS

  11. what a load of bollocks…..

  12. What a horrible article. I recommend the writer to kill himself ASAP.

  13. i like the spire shape better you should keep it

  14. whats the point if its glass because u pay about £300 on a console and then u drop it and it breaks

  15. @anno Why would you be carrying it around with you

  16. I’m already saving for this!

  17. 2GB? Sure sounds like a boatload of RAM when my laptop has 4GB, especially considering that you can buy 4GB for 50$-100$ for your desktop.

    1. You also have to remember that the PS3 only had 256 MB of RAM, so 2GB would be a HUGE upgrade from the previous console.

  18. y para cuando creen que salga a la venta ya quiero uno me hace falta

  19. what aload of shit !!!!!!! this guy is a joke !

  20. My favorite part was when they said “June 31” because that day doesn’t exist.

  21. hi people come visit the website roblox it is a game i built. when u get bc add me as a referral code my name is Grandtheftauto00

  22. Dont let anyone forget that the whole point is to make money. So they could ALL be holding back their best tech so they can slowly introduce it in order to make more money.

  23. So if I want to play it at a friends house did they come up with a way to load my memory to another console? Maybe have a link for two+ consoles to one TV for memory. Xbox is removable BUT only for one unit so user can only use one profile not a profile vs mode (hint). About the 3D gaming… should we save up for a new TV as well or can we expect a 3d film on our current TV models without 3d tech? Im against the anything that I have to put over my eyes to view a TV, many will lose sight of everything else and Im sure a noise cancellation head set will inprove the experience but Im stilll waiting for the hologram gaming experience.

    1. You need a 3D tv to be able to view 3D content.

    2. save ur money for glasses free tv’s coming around ps4 release….

  25. for all of u asking about the tv it looks like this artical is saying the game consle wot be hooked up to the tv but to a hea mounted display with high 3d graphics

  26. Playstation games are so real. We can only imagine what kind of gaming experience we’ll get with the next generation Playstation console. I’m afraid I’ll soon be unable to differ real life from fantasy. Can’t wait…

  27. and i still cant play KH1-2…..

  28. i really want that!

  29. I want the white and black future looking One

  30. Some of you are totally anal.. Nearly everything in my house is Sony, but that’s becase I LIKE it, not because I [email protected] over it…

  31. Not to be expensive

  32. make it at least 450

  33. I like how June 31 isn’t a real day

  34. why are you guys arguing over game consoles? just wait until the playstation4 is out, for now, enjoy the playstation3.

  35. that big of a hard drive and a buttload of ram… try 800

  36. I think I’m gunna cry :’) I’m sooo excited for it to come out. But it’s gunna be UBER expensive 🙁

  37. Ok manny flaws here:
1 it is not going to be released any time soon the hardware it boast has a lifetime of at least 3 more years
2 it wont come out with BluRay again (3d bluray is just a bluray with 3d media in it) sony goes with the next generation in disk technology(ps1 CD. ps2 DVD. ps3 BluRay. ps4?)
3 1.5TB of ram is excessive. There is no need for that much space on a game console unless you pirate HD Movies.
4 your math is off a cell has 8 “cores” 1ppe and 7spes. On the ps3 one isnt used and one is reserved for the OS so you have 5SPEs in a sense that are used for developing. So it would be logical or possible at the monument to create a 8core cell because it would have 64″cores”. A dual core Cell would do the job more than well.
5 Eco friendly? You’re out of your mind the likelyhood of this is 1 in a million this would sacrifice the quality and integrity of the build in most circumstances on top of that it would spike the prices.

    1. 1.5 tb is not even close to excessive, I have a ps3 with an 80gb hd, and only have a few games downloaded to it about 100 songs and save files and I am running out of space. 1.5 tb will be a good amount for the average gamer.

      1. He said RAM, not HD. *facepalm*

        1. Actually Geremy, Waylon is quite correct. The article specifies 1.5TB HARD DISK and NOT RAM, however the original poster GX1XD1PD mentioned 1.5TB or RAM – which the author never mentioned. It was just an oversite. But indeed, 1.5TB of HDD is NOT excessive. I currently have games stored on an 8TB RAID5 configuration, on an external server – so for on-board HDD space 1.5TB is normal. Even today’s basic comupters come with that much.

      1. MY fucking stupid? what about it?

    2. After reading point #2, I’ve decided that GX1blahblah needs to pull his bottom lip up over his head and swallow. Not sure how you concluded this, but lets throw some scenarios on the table here. PS1 plays CD’s. PS2, reads DVD’s in addition to the previous platform’s CD compatibility. PS3 reads bluray, in addition to the previous 2 platforms CD & DVD compatibility. Now for the sake of argument, lets just assume the PS4 can read a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It will not only be PB&J compatible, it will also read recognize bluray, DVD, and CD. So you were right in the aspect of Sony incorporating the next generation of disc technology, but they do not exclude the previous technology. However, for the the purpose of still collecting revenue on previous platforms, Sony does not allow newer platforms to play previous platform games, ie. PS3 reading PS2 games (with the exception of the first batch of PS3’s released, of which most took a crap by now anyway). Do your homework.

      1. You might want to do *your* homework. It is not true that “Sony does not allow newer platforms to play previous platform games”. PS2 and PS3 *both* play PSOne games (some better than others, of course).

PSOne graphics processing was software-based; so, porting that functionality to another platform (particularly a faster one) without much adverse effect on playability was reasonably easy. Indeed, Connectix, the creator of VirtualPC (a product that allowed PowerPC-based Macs to run a licensed copy of Windows), even created GameStation (if I got the name right), which was software that permitted PCs and Macs to play PSOne games. (Gamestation was discontinued over a decade ago when Microsoft purchased Connectix.)

But, unlike with the PSOne, the PS2 graphics engine relies on a specific piece of specialized hardware. Now, while the same may also be true in a general sense for the PS3, the PS3’s hardware-based graphics engine and associated hardware is completely different from the PS2’s. Thus, the PS3 graphics unit cannot process PS2 graphics commands.

Could Sony have developed the PS3 around a supercharged version of the PS2 graphics system instead of creating a completely new one from scratch? Well, sure. . .but such a system likely would not have been competitive on performance and graphics with other next-generation consoles.

The very first edition of the PS3 attempted to overcome the compatibility issue through the costly and somewhat clumsy addition of a stripped-down version of the PS2 graphics chip along with ROM support for the PS2 command library. The arrangement reportedly resulted in *almost* complete PS2 game compatibility. But, I believe, it also increased power consumption and, as mentioned above, raised production cost (afterall, it’s basically like adding a quarter of a PS2 onto a PS3 board).

The second edition dropped the PS2 chip in favor of software that could emulate it on the PS3’s main processor. Such software-based hardware emulation is problematic because it is almost always slower and less responsive than the using a dedicated chip. Thus, there are bound to be some errors due to timing issues. The added software can also take up a lot of space in the console’s ROM and/or firmware, as well as increasing the workload on the main processor. Consequently, this version’s PS2 compatibility was considerably more limited than that of its predecessor. Such a code-based solution is, however, generally cheaper than a hardware-based one.

For the next PS3 version, though, Sony dropped PS2 compatibility altogether. My guess is that they decided that maintaining the compatibility would only be worth the difficulty (both in engineering and continued support) if it could be done well. . .which it couldn’t.

I would say that the bitterest pill Sony had to swallow on the PS3 was not watching Xbox 360 beat them to market and gaining an unstoppable lead, but rather, it was deciding to abandon compatibility with the largest console-game consumer base in history. (Even at the time of the decision, PS2 games were still outselling Xbox 360 games, and were probably still being played more than all PS3, 360, and Wii games combined.)

I suspect there may have also been a little bit of arrogance on Sony’s part–thinking that they had an Apple-like brand loyalty that they could capitalize on. But I doubt that it was motivated by a desire to force users away from PS2 games.

        1. This is way to much. How do you manage to right all this.

          1. I lernd too right when I was a kidd.
            It”s cald liddericy.

      2. sony still sells backwards compatable ps3s

        1. @Glowbugg no they dont.

    3. Not only would Blu-ray 3D not be much of a progression from the PS3, it wouldn’t be a progression at *all*, as PS3 already *has* Blu-ray 3D compatibility. This ability was enabled through firmware updates over the last two years and applies to every version of PS3. (Actually, by Blu-ray Disc Association standard, any 2D Blu-ray player that is firmware updatable should be capable of being upgraded to interpret 3D coding, but it’s up to the manufacturer to make it available.)

I think you may be right, though, that Sony may not be in any rush to replace the PS3. Part of the beauty of the PS3 is that it was designed with a lot of extra firmware space so that both planned and as-yet-unplanned functionality could be added easily. As long as the hardware itself does become obsolete too quickly, the system can keep up for a long time just through updates. But once it needs more speed and more storage, it’ll have to go.

    4. thats what it  told us at the top of this page. you can read, impressive

  38. youll have to sell your house for paying 4 this

  39. the concept was great! can wait for the system to be released.

  40. Why do you have to buy it, If you dont have a money.. ok…!!! If you can’t buy just shut up because your poor,,,

  41. There is no way that the PS4 will be in 2012. Sony PROMISED us a 10 year life span for the PS3 till something next comes out AND HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW IT WILL EVEN BE CALLED A PS4?!?!?!?! It might be like… Playstation X or Playstation 4000
I want real proof that 1: it will be in 2012 and 2: that it will be called the PS4. I want this proof FROM SONY!

    Email: [email protected]
